I am getting ready for another Merrie Monarch Hula Festival on the Big Island April 8th – 12th and canʻt wait to see all my fellow artists and crafts people, the scented lei and the beautiful hula in Hilo town. The photo above is from 2012, the first year I was invited to participate in the Invitational Hawaiian Arts Fair at the Merrie Monarch. (I am on the left, daughter Lisa center and friend, Kat on right).
This year I will be bringing all the favorites like the clutches, drink mat sets and pillow covers as well as some new products including womenʻs tops: the Flowy tops in Kalo and Loulu design, Dolmans in Lauaʻe and Hala designs and scoop necks in a vertical Kalo design.
The Fair dates and times: Wednesday April 8 9am-5pm, Thursday April 9 9am-5pm, Friday April 10 9am-5pm and Saturday April 11 9am-4pm. I will be in the Butler Building which is next to the Civic Center behind the Edith Kanakaʻole Stadium where the competition is held.
A hui hou!
